Create and edit contents

To use this part of the system, you need Content owenr permission to create and delete posts and blogs, or Content editor permission to edit existing posts and blogs. For more information, read how to manage access policies.
The Content app allows you to create blogs and posts that will be displayed on your organisation's websites, as well as manage all content, its SEO configurations and images
The list of contents
The content list contains all posts published within the blog sorted in a table from most recent to least recent.
The content tables display the following data:
- Content name, i.e. the name for internal use
- Content title, i.e. the title displayed on websites and visible to website users and search engines
- Publication date in the format DDD/MM/YYYYY, e.g. 21/12/2021,
Clicking the New Content button takes you to the screen for writing content.
Clicking on a table row takes you to the content editor.
The detail page of a content contains the following information
- on the Content page:
- the details of the content
- the text editor
- on the SEO and socials page
- the post's SEO data configurations
- if the post has already been created, the Advanced options section where you can find
- the panel for editing the slug
- the panel for deleting content
- in the Additional Data page
- the panel for adding key-value fields in which to record other information about the post (e.g. topic - fundraising)
Writing Editor
The Content page contains the following fields
- Publication date in the format DDD/MM/YYYYY, e.g. 21/12/2021
- Content Name, i.e. the name for internal use
- Content title, i.e. the title displayed on websites and visible to website users and search engines
- if in first creation, the slug field is also visible, i.e. the web address identifying the content (see the explanation box above) - by default, the slug is automatically filled in on the basis of the title entered
- the box with the text editor where to write the content and insert images
By clicking the Publish button the content is saved and published online.
By clicking the Cancel button the content is not saved, changes are cancelled and you return to the list of blog contents.
Inserting a header into the body of the text
To insert a heading into the body text of a piece of content, use the formatting bar at the top of the editor. Clicking Type... > Heading will open a drop-down menu where you can select the type of heading - from Level 1 to Level 6.
Undo formatting done in the text editor
To undo formatting done in the text editor, simply use the Cancel button represented by a backward-pointing arrow.

Inserting a link into content
To insert a link within the text of a piece of content, simply follow these steps:
- Select the text you wish to make clickable;
- In the formatting bar, click the chain icon;
- In the panel that appears, insert the link in the link target field and press enter. If the title field is filled in, a label will also appear when the user's cursor passes over the text.
Editing a link
To edit a link within the text editor, simply follow these steps:
- Select the link you wish to edit;
- In the formatting bar, click twice on the chain icon;
- Edit the information in the pop-up and press enter.
SEO and Socials
The SEO and socials page contains the following fields and panels:
- the description, used together with the title by both Google and socials to display previews of the content and better understand what it is about,
- the language,
- the SEO and socials image, also used together with the title and description by both Google and socials to display previews of the content.
When no image has been uploaded, the Upload Image button can be found below the field. By clicking it, a panel appears with which to select one of the three upload types:
- from your computer by clicking Upload from computer. The file selection panel will appear and, once uploaded, the file will appear in the post's file list. Clicking Insert selected will insert the selected file into the post,
- using a web link, by clicking Upload with link. The field in which to insert the link will appear. Once inserted, clicking the Use this link button inserts the image into the post,
- using an image previously uploaded and saved in the post folder, by clicking Choose from images. The panel with the whole list of files in the post will appear. By clicking Insert selected the selected file is inserted into the post.
If you are editing the post, the advanced options section is also available where you can find
- the panel for editing the slug. By clicking the edit slug button, changes to the slug are applied.
- the panel for deleting the content. By clicking the Delete content button the post in question is deleted from the blog and can no longer be reached from the outside.
:: warning Always delete very carefully
As with editing slug, if a post has been indexed on search engines or shared as a link on social, deleting it will render the link empty and inoperable and could damage your search engine or social ranking strategy.

Additional data
The Additional Data page contains the panel for adding key-value fields in which to record other information about the post (e.g. topic - fundraising).
Clicking the +Add button creates a row with two fields where you can enter
- the key on the right, e.g. topic
- the value of the key on the left, e.g. fundraising
Clicking the Remove button will delete the line.
