Configure the holiday calendar
This quick start explains how to add holidays to your organisation's calendar in the Leaves app in RevasOS. Configured holidays are used to correctly calculate absences and attendances on public holidays.
Before you start:
You need admin permissions to access the holiday configuration in the Leaves app.
Add a holiday
- Open the Leaves app in your RevasOS environment (also reachable at leaves.eu1.revas.app).
- Go to the Holidays section.
- Click New holiday.
- Fill in:
- Date — The date of the holiday.
- Name — The name of the holiday (e.g. "Christmas", "New Year's Day", "Labour Day").
- Click Save.
Repeat for every holiday your organisation recognises during the year.
Effect on absences and attendances
Once configured, holidays affect the system in two ways:
- Absences — If a collaborator requests leave that includes a holiday, the system accounts for it and does not double-count it against the leave balance.
- Attendances — If a collaborator logs attendance on a holiday, the system flags it and applies the correct calculation rules.
