Configure leave profiles

This quick start explains how to create and manage leave profiles (absence types) in the Workforce app. Leave profiles define the types of absence available to collaborators when they log time off in Timesheets.


Before you start:

You need admin permissions for the Workforce app to access the settings.

Add a leave profile

  1. Open the Workforce app in your RevasOS environment.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. In the Absences section, click Add absence.
  4. Fill in:
    • Name — The label for this absence type (e.g. "Vacation", "Sick leave", "Training", "Unpaid leave").
    • Paid / Unpaid — Select whether this absence is Paid (counts towards working hours) or Unpaid (excluded from working-hour totals).
  5. Click Save.

Repeat for every absence type your organisation needs.

How leave profiles are used

Once configured, leave profiles appear as options whenever a collaborator records an absence in the Timesheets app. The paid/unpaid setting determines how the absence is handled in hour calculations and reports:

  • Paid absences (e.g. vacation, national holidays) count as working hours in balances and reports.
  • Unpaid absences (e.g. unpaid leave, sabbatical) are recorded but excluded from working-hour totals.

Edit or remove a leave profile

  1. Open the Workforce app and go to Settings.
  2. In the Absences section, find the leave profile you want to modify.
  3. Click on it to edit the name or paid/unpaid setting, then click Save.
