Add Google Tag Manager to your site

Embedding Google Tag Manager (GTM) into your RevasOS-powered site allows you to easily and centrally manage your marketing, analytics, and tracking tags. Follow the steps below to integrate GTM into your site.

Get the code

  1. Sign in to your Google Tag Manager account: Go to Google Tag Manager and log in with your credentials.

  2. Create a container:

  • In the GTM dashboard, click Create container.
  • Choose the container name (usually your website name) and platform (choose Web).
  • Click Create and accept the terms of service.
  1. Get the installation code:
  • Once the container is created, Google Tag Manager will provide you with two pieces of code:
  • The first code must be inserted in the <head> element of the page.
  • The second code must be inserted in the <body> element.

Copy both codes that Google will provide you.

Insert the code on RevasOS

Once you have the code, go to RevasOS and:

  1. Log in to your website's Dashboard.

  2. Click on Settings > Custom code.

  3. Add the code in the HEAD field:

  • Paste the first code (the one to be put in the <head> element) in the HEAD code field.
  1. Add code in the BODY field:
  • Paste the second code (the one to be placed in the <body> element) in the BODY Code field.
  1. Save settings.

Verify installation

Once you have saved the code, you can verify that Google Tag Manager is correctly integrated into your site:

  1. Visit your website.
  2. Use the Google Tag Assistant (Chrome extension) to verify that the GTM code is active and working.
