Manage metadata
Metadata allows you to add data and information to pages, websites, blocks and subblocks. You can use metadata to create custom templates or advanced classes to change the look and behavior of your website.
Structure
A metadata is made up of two parts:
- the key, which allows you to recognize it uniquely. Write the key in all lowercase with hyphens instead of spaces (for example
metadata-key
) or without spaces using capital letters for each letter (for exampleMetadataKey
) to avoid anomalous behavior in the case of spaces; - the value, where you can insert any type of text, even with spaces.
Operations
To edit a metadata, the operations are the same in each screen:
- Add a metadata: when you are in the metadata panel, click the +Add button, then enter the key in the first box and its value in the second, then click the button with the check mark to save it;
- Edit a metadata: when you are in the metadata panel, click the button with the pencil to edit it, and when you have made the changes click the button with the check mark to save it;
- Remove a metadata: when you are in the metadata panel, click the button with the trash icon to edit it.
