Introduction to Projects

The Projects app allows you to manage projects of all kinds, break them down into milestones, and create tasks that can be assigned to your resources. It collects reports so you can visualize trends and monitor workloads at any time.

This page is the main entry point for users who want to understand how the app works before diving into a specific feature.

What Projects helps you do

Projects covers the full lifecycle of project management within RevasOS.

  • Create and organize projects with statuses, dates, and customer assignments.
  • Break projects into milestones to group tasks by goal or phase.
  • Create and assign tasks to collaborators so everyone knows what to work on.
  • Track workloads to see how resources are allocated across projects.
  • Manage budgets by activating budget lines and tracking expenses and revenues.
  • Generate reports to analyze project progress, hours, and financial health.

Depending on your role, you may see only your own projects or the entire organization's portfolio.

How the app is organized

Projects is structured around a few main areas, each with a different purpose.

  • Dashboard β€” shows all projects or just the ones with tasks assigned to you.
  • Project view β€” the project-specific dashboard with planning, milestones, workload, budget, and report sections.
  • Planning β€” task list organized by status, filterable by due date or assignee.
  • Milestones β€” group tasks into logical phases and track milestone progress.
  • Workload β€” visualize resource allocation and identify over- or under-loaded team members.
  • Budget lines β€” manage financial resources with time-specific budget lines, expenses, and revenues.
  • Report β€” generate reports filtering by type, time frame, and criteria.
